Our Client is a leading PI System Integrator currently hiring for PI System Engineers, Consultants and Support Engineers in Aberdeen and Reading, preferably within Oil & Gas or Power industry and OSISoft experience.
You will have PI system experience (either in database support or client-side tools/utilities), proven experience of design, implementation or support of PI System Manager, extending if possible to configuring data collection interfaces with realtime information management systems such as SCADA, DCS and RTU. Depending on role you will join teams working on the delivery of client service contracts, based from the office and / or on site.
To be clear, PI stores operational data that it gathers from across the plant, integrating with other applications, and makes it visible across the enterprise, plus applies analytical calculations and business rules to analyse the data, displaying critical operational metrics. ProcessBook allows users to create interactive graphical displays; DataLink integrates with Excel for complex data analysis; RtReports on real-time and historical data; Sigmafine is for data reconciliation and validation, generating trustworthy information. Comparable solutions would be AspenTech InfoPlus 21 (IP21).
PI is used daily by engineers to fine tune chemical processing. In the refinery control room, operators use PI to monitor specific events, equipment and process performances. This extends to production, pipelines and supply and distribution, to run leaner, smoother operations, including decreasing time to bring wells online, optimising well production, decreasing downtime and reservoir management, so it is likely you will have experience in environments like these.
