Financial services Lawyer

The Lending department of an International Commercial bank is looking to recruit a lawyer to support their charging process, focusing on freehold and leasehold UK properties.

You will be serving as a point of contact for several areas to oversee timely funding and processing of loan documentation in accordance with credit agreement terms and procedures.
As the only lawyer in this team, the role will involve a lot of responsibility and consequently prior experience working withing lending departments. You will also be required to re-draft a variety of agreements and precedents.

As part of the role, you will be:

- Responsible for implementation and execution of all loan facilities
- Working on a varied caseload including freehold and leasehold sales and purchases
- Drafting legal documents
- Liaising with business and agent banks for syndicated lending
- Maintaining the Security Register
- Monitoring compliance with terms of the credit facility agreements

The ideal candidate will have experience of working within a financial services environment, and have developed knowledge of syndicated lending, Islamic finance, and be able to interpret credit agreements. Both financial services or private practice backgrounds are being consider.
