My client is a rapidly growing SME company providing B2B and B2C professional services to a wide range of clients across the UK and internationally. They specialise in accountancy; legal and people services.

Due to growth and expansion - they are now looking for an experienced ACCA/ACA Accountant to join their accounts team. The successful candidate will be working within an existing team of 3 people and will report directly into the Senior Accountant.

This role is suited to a diligent, confident and organised individual who is excited to manage a client portfolio and deliver a quality service experience. You will look forward to proactively managing financial deadlines and in providing a client experience to remember!

SOME KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

*Manage the accounts preparation process for c.50 clients and ensuring that they are submitted on time (liaising with clients to obtain accounting information, preparing statutory accounts and corporation tax returns into final preparation format, communicating with clients to resolve any accounting queries)
*Preparing and managing the personal tax returns for an additional c.40 clients and ensuring they are submitted on time (liaising with clients to obtain accounting information, preparing accounts into final preparation format, communicating with clients to resolve any accounting queries)
*Bookkeeping and VAT returns
*Assist the Senior Accountant in reviewing current processes and suggesting improvements
*Other general administration tasks or dealing with client accounting/tax queries
* Building client relationships and undertaking business development
*Providing tax and accountancy advice to clients
*Preparation of statutory accounts for companies and sole traders, partnerships (LLP), management accounts for a selection of clients and service charge accounts for approximately 5 properties and corporation tax returns for c.50 clients

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS:

*ACCA or ACA Qualified
*SME experience (desirable)
*A minimum of 3 years ACA or ACCA PQE
*A solid understanding of personal and corporate tax
*Experience individually managing client payroll processing, pensions schemes and submissions
*Diligent, organised and able to work to tight deadlines
*Experience using Xero, QuickBooks and Sage Line 50 software
*Proficient in Microsoft excel and Microsoft office platforms
*Excellent at maintaining and building new and long-lasting relationships
*Diligent and thorough, with a strong attention to detail
*Practicing Certificate
